ALABAMA DEER HUNTING

The crisp Alabama morning greets the hunters as they set up before first light. Nestled in a hardwood bottom near a food plot, they listen as the woods come alive. The rut is in full swing, and anticipation runs high.

As the sun rises, a young buck chases a doe through the thicket, followed by a mature eight-pointer. The hunter steadies his rifle, waiting for a clear shot. The buck pauses at the edge of the food plot, broadside. A single shot rings out, and the deer bolts before crashing just inside the tree line

.

Later in the afternoon, another hunter sets up near a pine ridge, watching a heavily used trail. As the golden light fades, movement catches his eye—a heavy ten-pointer steps out, nose to the ground. He takes the shot, and the buck drops within sight.

Back at camp, the team gathers to admire the day’s success. Stories are shared, and a warm meal is enjoyed by the fire. Alabama’s diverse terrain and strong deer population have once again provided an unforgettable experience. With coolers full and spirits high, they look forward to another day in the Southern woods.
