funnels and pinches. That stuff gets ran into the ground. I have a few points that worked for me. The below bucks were both taken in November tight to doe bedding and were taken after moving stands those mornings, all by 930. As you know I get aggressive and hunt tight to a bucks bedding area. This time of the year I hunt as close as I can to known doe bedding areas. Below is my 212 I took on Nov 7 at 1230. He was holding a doe down on the edge of thick cover while chasing other bucks off. So the point here is, sit as long as possible as you never know when they will get up and start chasing or break away from the doe and start looking again. The second buck was taken Nov 6

leaving a doe bedding area at 1030. I was covering the exit of the main bedding area. Both of these bucks I started the hunts off those mornings sitting on the opposite end of the properties. But by 930 I hadn’t seen any deer and each spot just felt dead. That to me is a clue. I got down both hunts and snuck across the farms and slipped in tight to different bedding areas. So instead of wasting my day in an area that felt dead to me. I moved in hopes to find the action. Movement this time of the year can be all or nothing. You’re either in the action or you’re not. These bucks will lock in on the does in heat and so will every other buck in the area and movement will be suppressed to that one small area for the day. Call me crazy, but if I’m sitting in the tree in November and it feels dead to me and I get that gut feeling I need to move, I move and it worked for me in these two cases. Good luck to all this month just a few things to think about while you’re out there.
